Brown (tory_brown@yahoo.com) ::A r c T w o:: Utopia's Rising Moshi could feel herself falling. You know that feeling you get when you're sleeping and you jerk suddenly, waking up? Well, Moshi jerked as hard as she could, but she continued to fall. She opened her eyes, only to see nothing. It was pitch black. Total darkness... Infinite space. "Oh Kami-sama, am I going to jigoku?!" she yelled, trying to right herself up. Faintly, she could see streaks of blue in the darkness that surrounded her. Faster and faster, the darkness turned into a deep blue, into a pale blue and then into a white. With a loud crash, she slammed into the ground, knocking her unconscious. What could have been seconds, or hours later, she finally came to. "Ah, you're awake!" a voice said in her ear, causing Moshi to look around, trying to focus. Once zeroing in on the voice, she reared back in shock. It was herself! Not really herself at that moment in time, but the Takanera Moshi that wore the small pink fuku from Yakomoto Jr. High. "M-Me," Moshi stammered, staring hard at the small girl. "Yeah me," she responded, patting one of her odangos back into shape. "You kind of landed on me there." She stood up and stretched her small arms out. "Where are we?" Moshi asked, standing up, stretching her now long legs. She noticed in disgust that the knees of her jeans had large holes. The smaller Moshi looked up at the tall one. "You should know! After all, one should know when they're in their own mind." That explained the large garden, with butterflies and birds. "My mind.." she whispered, taking in the grand view. She wanted to sit in the garden forever, taking care of each precious flower. Turning left, she noticed a large billboard in the middle of the field. Decorating the billboard was a picture of Hoshi surrounded with neon lights. She blushed slightly. Small Moshi grinned. "Yeah, he does tend to dominate here," she chuckled, brushing her pink skirt. "There's others but not just as big." Faraway on her right there was a dark cloud hovering over part of the field. Flashes of light sparked randomly. Moshi pointed in that direction and asked Yakomoto Moshi. "Are?" "That over there?" she started, narrowing her violet eyes. "That's where Sailor Earth and Sailor Earth are battling. They're training, in preparations of fighting Mosite." Moshi blinked. "What the heck did you just say?" She sighed. "Boy, we have a lot of talking to do. What I just said is exactly what's happening. Sailor Earth, the senshi of Earth Planet Power, is fighting Sailor Earth, the senshi of Earth Star Power. Get it?" She then muttered something unintelligent under her breath. "OK I got it, no need to get vulgar about it. Ru-chan was right, we do have a foul mouth." Moshi said glowering at her former self. Together silent, they walked through the fields, taking care not to smash the flowers. The closer they reached the dark cloud, the more energy she could feel coursing through her body. Once they reached the cloud, it gladly swallowed them whole, pulling them into the fold. This part of the field was as dark and as dismal as the empty space she fell through at first. "Life Force!" Sailor Planet Earth screamed, hurling the arc of energy at the senshi in purple and yellow. "Kuso!" Sailor Star Earth cursed as she nimbly ducked out of the path of the arc, which nearly sliced her back bow. "Alright, planet freak. Cosmic...Lightning!!!" She hurled the large bolt of lightning at the shocked senshi decked in brown and yellow. Planet Earth scrambled out of the way, her dark ponytails floating above her head like dark ribbons. She jumped back to her feet, digging the heel of her brown boot in the ground. Reaching up she removed one of the hair jewels, that decorated her odangos. With cat like skill, she flung the disc at the other senshi, cutting her cheek. Star Earth grabbed the disc after it cut her cheek, the golden edge stained with her blood. "You think this is cute?" she griped, flinging the disc back. "Kawaii or not, I still drew blood. I win!" Planet Earth crowed, dancing around flexing her arms. "You cheating bastard! I'll tell CyberEarth on you!" Star Earth cried, balling her hands into fists. Planet Earth snorted, folding her arms across her chest. "What is that metal freak going to do?!" "This metal freak will kick your butt, if you don't play fair!" CyberEarth snarled, appearing from a dark corner of the cloud. Planet Earth shrank back. "I was only joking about the metal freak part!" She started to whine which made Moshi wince, she hadn't whined in so long. "Ha!" Star Earth chuckled, "See if you can whine your way out of this one!" "Shut up!" Planet Earth growled, narrowing her violet eyes at her evolved self. "I'm tired of you guys picking on me just because I have the 'least' power." She drew herself up to her full height, which wasn't much considering at that time Moshi was still short. "You've forgotten, I still retain powers from when I was leader of the Sailor Elementals!" Star Earth widened her eyes in mock awe. "Ooh, the leader of the elementals is going to shock me with her quakes!" "That's it!" she frowned, her violet eyes flashing. Placing her arms on her hips, she stomped the ground hard and yelled. "Rock and Roll!!" A large crack formed in the ground and swarmed its way towards Star Earth who leaped out of the way. Moshi stepped between the feuding senshi. "Alright, what the hell is going on here?!" She glared at each Senshi, who were frozen to the spot. Yakomoto Moshi frowned. "I already told you.." "Shaddup!" Moshi snapped. "If you're suppose to be preparing for battle, fighting each other isn't going to be the key to defeating her!" She pointed at the dark castle high up on a mountain in the backdrop. "It's about time, someone with some sense said something," a new voice said, coming from everyone's back. Sailor Utopia appeared from the darkest corner, her white fuku almost luminescent, with purple and yellow slashes. At her side was a scabbard holding a sword. On each wrist was a bracer of gold. Moshi turned at looked at Sailor Utopia, who grinned in returned. She stepped forward and placed a hand on the senshi's cheek. "Is this who I am to become?" Utopia nodded. "Soon, soon.." She raised her hand and covered Moshi's with her own. Moshi leaned over and whispered in her ear. "You seem to be the one with the most sense here, what exactly is going on?" Utopia winked and whispered back. "They're fighting to decide who fights Mosite. I told the little brats that it would take all our efforts together, to fight Mosite." Moshi nodded, her ponytail bouncing from the movement. "What can we do?" she questioned, placing a hand on Utopia's shoulder Utopia glanced at Moshi. Sighing she placed her hands on her narrow hips and stared at the castle. "First things first, we have to get the troop here under control. That's where CyberEarth came in, at least she kept Planet Earth and Star Earth from killing one another." Moshi nodded, listening to Utopia. "What about Super?" She glanced around, looking for the senshi with the long purple ribbons on the back of her fuku. Utopia frowned. "She went into some sort of depression, I believe it had something to do with Hoshi. Maybe you could talk to her, sort of snap her out of it." Moshi sighed, she remember the depression of Hoshi's disappearance. "Where can I find her?" she asked, her eyes filling softly with tears. Utopia's own eyes were misting when she pointed to the far side of the field, the spot where Moshi had landed. "You can find her over at the roses, the green ones." "Thanks Utopia," Moshi said, waving as she ran through the dark cloud, finding herself in the expansive field. A few butterflies skirted away from her sudden presence. She smiled at the various colors flying over head, creating a rainbow. She nearly jumped as a blue jay landed on her shoulder, rubbing its head affectionately against her cheek. She reached up and patted its soft, feather covered head. Satisfied after receiving some attention, the blue jay took off, flying over head towards the boughs of trees. A low sobbing reached her ears as she turned around. She walked through the path of chrysanthemums and reached the beds of roses. In the center of the green row was SuperSailor Earth, her purple ribbons floating behind her in the soft breeze. The large purple sleeves drooping with each sob. Moshi quietly walked over and placed a hand on the senshi's shoulder. SuperSailor looked up, her violet eyes full of tears, in her hands she held a small wrinkled snapshot of Hoshi, his green eyes shining brightly. "Oh, it's you.." she said, her voice laced with hurt. Moshi settled down in the rose bed next to SuperSailor. "What's that suppose to mean?" "Nothing," she started, holding the picture close to her winged bow. "I just miss him," she finished, looking up at one of the large billboards with Hoshi's picture. "It's fine, Hoshi was with me when..." she stopped, unsure of whether to tell her about her lifeblood draining. "..you died?" Super asked, her dark eyebrows raising. Moshi's shoulders dropped. "Yeah, when I died." Super squealed, pouncing on Moshi in a hug. "That's great!!!" She looked at Moshi, who had an expression of pure terror. " I mean it's not great that you died...its just.." She stopped, continuing the death crushing hug. * * * * Haruka pushed her lank hair out of her eyes. "I can't believe I did it..." She lowered her face to her hands as deep sobs wracked her body. Michiru walked over, placing a hand on Haruka's shoulder, giving her the sense that someone was there for her. "Haruka-papa, don't cry.." Hotaru said, her purple eyes filling with concern for Haruka. She looked up at Michiru, whose eyes were filling with tears as well. Michiru sighed, wiping a tear from her eye. "Haruka, it's not your fault.." "The hell it isn't my fault!" she cried, wrenching her shoulder from Michiru's grip. "I put a sword through her heart!" She jumped from her seat and walked over to the wall. Balling up one fist she slammed it into the wall with all her might. Setsuna grabbed Haruka by her shoulder and whirled her around to face her. "Haruka, stop this at once!" She stated, her reddish eyes flashing with a mixture of hurt and anger. Haruka snorted. "Oh yeah? You're not the one who plunged a blade into the heart of your friend!" she snapped, folding her arms across her chest like a barrier. Indignation flared up in Setsuna's eyes. "You think you're the only one affected by Moshi's 'death'? What about us, and Usagi-tachi. How do you think Mamoru-san or Hoshi-san feels?!" Michiru placed her hand on Haruka's shoulder again. "She's right Haruka, what about the rest? You're not the only one hurting. I liked Moshi, she was silly, bright and funny, but most of all my friend." Haruka's shoulders shook. "Did you see Mamoru fall out? Did you see Hoshi's face? Did you hear Usagi wailing?!" she demanded, her blue eyes flashing. Setsuna lowered her eyes. "Iie, I had to make sure Hotaru didn't see." "Exactly!" she countered, her eyes blazing with more fury. "You didn't see when Moshi screamed when I plunged the blade into her chest!" Michiru's nostrils flared. "That's not the point Haruka, She felt the pain just as well as you did! What, did you want her to see? Did you want Hotaru to see as well?!" she nearly yelled, pointing at the small girl at her side. Haruka's features softened. "Iie, you know I wouldn't want her to see that!" Her voice strained, threatening to crack on her at any second. Michiru stepped forward, placing her hands on Haruka's shoulders. "Just think this, we all feel the pain of loosing Moshi, don't try and take the blame all onto yourself." * * * "Genki desu ka?" Mamoru asked Hoshi as he sat down at the spot opposite of Hoshi. Mamoru stared at his friend, he looked like 12 miles of bad road. He knew that Hoshi wasn't sleeping, he could tell by the dark circles that surrounded his dull green eyes. Running a slender hand through his shaggy brownish red hair, Hoshi looked up. "Not good Mamoru-kun, not good.." He let out a ragged sigh, his shoulders drooping in what looked like defeat. "I guess I had to get out of the house, too many memories.." he stammered. Mamoru sighed, if there was too many memories at Hoshi's, there was for sure too many here. Good thing Mamoru decided to put her pictures away before he let Hoshi in, no sense in driving the poor man mad with grief. "I know...I miss Midget," he said in sympathy. "It's like we can never have one moment of happiness!" Hoshi spat out, balling his hand into a fist. "Such is the life of a Sailor Senshi," Mamoru stated, placing a hand on Hoshi's shoulder. Hoshi wrapped his arms around himself, as if trying to hold himself together. "Mamoru, have you ever loved someone so much it hurt to think otherwise?" His green eyes implored for an answer. Mamoru's blue eyes connected with the green ones. "Of course, sometimes it hurts to sleep at night." Hoshi smirked at a fond memory. "I remember when she first opened the door, there was this small girl with these large eyes. She had me on konnichi wa. I told myself I couldn't, Mamoru would kill me!" He paused and let out a small laugh, recalling the look of pure terror Mamoru gave him. "Kami-sama, she was totemo kawaii...I was instantly in love," he sighed. Mamoru grinned, he could certainly understand the same emotions Hoshi experienced, seeing he felt the same way about Usagi. 'Hoshi's truly stronger than I am, if I didn't have my Usako, there's no telling what I would do,' he thought as he glanced at his friend. Hoshi took the puffed heart necklace out his pocket. Through the diamond shaped holes, Moshi's star seed twinkled brightly, almost brighter than the day it was sequestered there. He spoke to the locket as if it could understand. "I know you'll be back.." In response the seed twinkled rapidly. "Can I see it?" Mamoru asked, holding out his palm, he was unsure if Hoshi would give him the locket or not. With out a word of protest, Hoshi placed the locked in the middle of Mamoru's hand. Mamoru looked in the locket at the seed. It's light shone brightly as if it knew him. * * * * Makoto hurried through the hallways of Juuban high, she was rushing to get to her shoe locker in hopes of beating the crowd. Pausing by Usagi's she looked down the row and spotted Moshi's locker. She walked forward and ran her hand over the name tag with Moshi's name in hiragana. "Mo-chan..." She whispered, tears filling her green eyes. * * * * "So, now what do we do?" Super asked, her violet eyes lightening up with the prospects of fighting. "What we do now is get everyone together and go find Mosite," Moshi said, balling one hand into a tight fist. "Let's do it!" Super yelled, turning and running towards the cloud with Moshi in tow. Huffing and puffing, they appeared before the rest of the senshi, who were still arguing. "Bite me!" Planet Earth said, sticking out her tongue. "Where?" Star Earth asked, waggling both her eyebrows in a lewd gesture. CyberEarth made a gagging noise. She looked up and noticed Moshi and Super appearing through the darkness of the cloud. "It's about time you two returned, I was ready to destroy the both of them!" Super grinned. Utopia walked over and put a hand on her shoulder. "Good to see you back," she whispered in Super's ear. Super whispered back, "Good to be back" Raising her voice to its normal level she said. "Alright, now from what I know, we, as in all of us, have to defeat Mosite!" Planet Earth stomped her foot. "Iie! I should be the one to fight Mosite!" She stuck her bottom lip out in a full pout. Star Earth glared at her former self. "What the hell has gotten into you?" she gestured, using her hands to show her frustration. "What makes you think a little funky 'Rock and Roll' and 'Life Force' is going to stop Mosite?!" CyberEarth raised a hand. "Um, I defeated Mosite remember?" The three senshi: Planet, Star and CyberEarth became enthralled in a heated debate. Moshi simply stood and watched in disbelief. She didn't think she had an ego this big! Utopia was starting to become a bit agitated herself. She started pacing back and forth, occasionally her hand resting on the handle of her sword. Yakomoto Moshi just stood around giggling at the foolishness of it all. "Utopia fluorescent screen!" Utopia screamed, creating a screen of blinding purple light, causing the senshi to scream in shock. Once the light cleared, Utopia jumped to the top of a large boulder and unholstered her sword. The golden blade gleaming in the darkness of the cloud. "Listen up you whiny brats. For years, I've sat here listening to your constant bickering with nothing to say myself. Well, now I'm talking." She shook the sword, punctuating each word. "Now, We have to work together if we want to defeat Mosite. if not, we might as well get use to the living arrangements. I tell you this, if I'm forced to deal with you all for eternity, some things will have to change!" she spat out, jumping down from the rock. She glared at the crowd, her violet eyes flashing in anger. * * * * From the window of her castle, Mosite chuckled to herself as she polished the long blade of her katana. "Stupid senshi. The fools can't even cooperate." Walking away from the window, she passed a large mirror. She paused, looking at the reflection that glared back at her. The too large gray eyes framed by thin white eyebrows that was nearly covered by her thick white bangs, blinked. What was the whole purpose of it all. She really didn't care if she lost to the senshi or not. She missed her twin, Zoisite. She missed Kunzite's teasing and Nephrite snapping at her every chance he had. Smirking she admitted to herself she even missed Jadeite. She often pondered on what life would have been like had she not defected to the Moon Kingdom. Would the Dark kingdom had won? Scratching her head she went through the small history lesson Luna had given them. Them of course being her and Moshi. Even if she hadn't defected, they still would have lost. Maybe it was for the best she defected. But the loneliness, Kami-sama, it was too much to bear. Here in this castle she had no one to talk too. Back in the old days if she had something bothering her she could at least go talk to Kunzite or Zoisite. Maybe even Nephrite, if he was in a good mood at the time. Why did they even become evil? That she couldn't remember. What she did remember was her twin begging her to follow him so that they wouldn't be separated. She would have gladly followed him to the ends of the Earth, but for what price? It scared her to even consider something like that. Going back to the window where she could see the senshi talking to one another, she glanced at her sword and shield. Sighing, she said out loud, "I hope you guys come soon because I'm bored with this." * * * * "It's about time we came up with a plan!" Super stated, placing her hands on her hips. Her two level skirts fluttered in the breeze of the dark cloud. "Hai, let's move!" Moshi said, starting out towards Mosite's castle. Together and silent, the six versions of Moshi slowly walked through the barren field, kicking up clods of dust as they passed by. No one spoke, each deep within her own thoughts. Absentmindedly scratching at her cheek, Moshi paused, glancing at one of the billboards that stood up. This one was of Usagi, her gentle smile lighting up the darkness of the field. 'Hmm, how would Usagi deal with this?' she thought, continuing to walk ahead. She fell into step between Super and Utopia. How _would_ Usagi deal with this? Surely she wasn't the gentle type, she didn't have Usagi's innocence and purity and for sure not her power. "She's so pure," Super whispered, echoing Moshi's thoughts. On Moshi's other side, Utopia nodded, her eyes firmly planted on the castle ahead. "I know for one thing," Moshi started, balling her hands into fists. "What's that?" CyberEarth asked, her metallic fuku gleaming in the light. "Usagi wouldn't try to kill her," Moshi finished, a grimace crossed her face. "That's for sure," Star Earth stated. "Whoa wait," Planet Earth piped up. "Am I sensing a change in plan here?" Yakomoto Moshi snorted in disgust. "Jeez are you slow!" "Shaddup twerp, I've had enough outta you!" Planet Earth groused at her former self. She bared her teeth in a semi-snarl as she stalked ahead. "So boss, what do we do?" CyberEarth asked, ignoring the two lower forms arguing. "I don't know now, but I'll know when we get there," Moshi said, pushing open the front gates of the castle. The castle looked like something straight from the fairy tales of old. It had the classic drawbridge with the deep moat. Moshi was willing to bet that the moat contained a few life forms of it's own. Enough in fact to make a grown man scream and jump on a chair in fright. Oddly, the drawbridge was down. The gaping maw of the castle called for their attention. In a single file, with Moshi leading, the senshi-tachi scurried across the bridge and into the courtyard of the castle. "This place looks like Frankenstein's alma mater!" Star Earth said as she was swatted on the shoulder by Planet Earth. Moshi shushed the two as she stalked ahead. Glancing around she noticed portraits of the Dark Kingdom. Her heart stalled when she passed the picture of Beryl. Memories of her past came flooding at that moment. Fighting the urge to vomit, she continued down the hallway. She came upon one last picture. It was Mosite with Zoisite's arms around her neck. Small knowing smiles were on both their faces. "I remember posing for this," Moshi blurted out, her hand going to her mouth as if to prevent her from saying so. Shaking the shudder that skittered down her spine, she continued on. Once they made it past the interior hallway, they stumbled upon a spiral stairway. "50 bucks say she's upstairs." Planet Earth grumbled, glancing up the stairs. CyberEarth shook her head, she knew not to bet against sure things. "Man, you're all stupid AND lazy!" a voice barked, calling everyone's attention to the center of the room. In a haze of white petals, Mosite appeared with her sword and shield. The sharp creases in her uniform stood out under the castles torches. "Mosite.." Moshi whispered as she stepped forward. It finally dawned on her what Usagi would do. Usagi would try to help Mosite not destroy her, even if it meant the cost of her own life. Planet Earth rushed forward, a spark of energy appearing in her palm. "Life...FORCE!!!" She heaved the spark at Mosite. Yawning Mosite held up her shield, the spark bounced away and faded out. "What the hell are you doing!" Moshi snarled at Planet Earth. Her violet eyes flashed with each word. Planet Earth shrank back in fear. "Gomen," she mumbled, looking at her gloved hands. Utopia pulled her sword from the scabbard. Taking a defensive stance, she seemed to be prepared for whatever was going to happen. Moshi stared a bit harder at Mosite. 'Taskute, Usagi-chan, what can I do?' she pleaded mentally, as if Usagi might hear her. Thinking back, she remembered what Usagi had told her about Galaxia. * * * * "What about Galaxia?" Moshi asked, stuffing another potato chip in her mouth. "I saw that there was good in Galaxia, she was only a victim of a bad decision. I took it upon myself to try and heal her," Usagi responded, grabbing the bowl away from Moshi. "I don't get it, why not just blast her? You had the power!" Moshi said. Usagi blinked, her blue eyes looking almost luminescent. "Destroying isn't always the answer. There is a time to destroy and there is a time to create. Someday you'll understand Mo-chan." * * * * "There is a time to destroy and there is a time to create," Moshi started. "Destroying isn't always the answer..." She faded out, turning her gaze back to Mosite. What she saw nearly took her breath away. Mosite looked tired, simply tired of living. Her eyes had large dark circles surrounding them. Her white hair limply hung in her face. Her shoulders seemed to be sagging in defeat. She looked, trapped. Moshi ran forward and pulled Super away from Mosite. "Minna, Yamero!" she ordered, throwing an arm in front of Mosite as if to protect her. "NANI!?" CyberEarth screeched, her finger was glowing purple. She was prepared to shoot a laser into Mosite like she did before. "Destroying isn't the answer. We must help her!" Moshi yelled. "The only way to do that is to become ONE!" The senshi turned away and muttered amongst themselves. Yakomoto watched on, a look of knowing slid across her face. "I understand!" she yelled and sprinted forward, crashing into Planet Earth. Amongst Planet Earth's protests, she hugged her. A bright light surrounded the pair as Yakomoto melded into Planet Earth, becoming one. Catching on Planet Earth raced over to Star Earth and grabbed her in a tight embrace. A similar light appeared and melded the two into one. Each senshi followed suit until there was only Utopia left. Utopia walked forward, replacing her sword in its scabbard. "Are you sure about this?" she asked Moshi. Moshi nodded, her dark ponytail swishing. "It's the only way." She held her arms open and Utopia walked into them. A bright light surrounded them as Utopia slowly melded into Moshi. Alone and with her arms wrapped around her, Moshi slowly turned to face Mosite. Her clothing consisting of jeans and a tee-shirt, vanished. Her infinity sign appeared, glowing with a light of it's own. "Mosite.." she whispered. "All these years I fought against you, denying your existence only to learn that I can't. To deny you is to deny myself." Mosite's eyes filled with tears. "All I wanted was for you to acknowledged that I existed." She dropped her sword and shield. Her hands flying to her face to wipe away the tears. "Now I know who I am," Moshi stated. "I am Mosite, Takanera Moshi, Sailor Earth, SailorCyber Earth, SuperSailor Earth, Sailor Utopia and The Utopia Knight. But I can't be all of these, unless, you join." She held her arms open in acceptance. "But, Zoisite," Mosite blubbered, silver tears sliding down her cheeks, creating splashes on the front of her uniform. "You can go be with Zoisite, if you join," Moshi answered, the light from her infinity sign filling the darkness. "Be free Mosite, be free." She whispered as Mosite stepped into her arms, laying her head on Moshi's shoulder. The pair was lifted off their feet as their surrounding's vanished, leaving them back in the expansive garden. Mosite looked up into Moshi's face. Gray eyes stared into Violet as she spoke. "Arigato, Moshi." She closed her eyes and laid her head back on Moshi's shoulder as she slowly melded with Moshi. "Be free, Mosite," she repeated as tears slid down her cheeks. Slowly Mosite faded away, leaving her alone. A new set of clothing appeared, it was a set that she hadn't seen in a while. She was now wearing the armored fuku of the Utopia Knight. Glancing around the garden she noticed that the castle was now gone. In it's spot was a large billboard of Mosite. Smirking to herself Moshi walked forward. "Now how am I to get out of here?" she said aloud. As if heard, a large neon sign flashing 'EXIT' appeared ahead. "Whoohoo!" she yelled. "I'm coming, Hoshi!!!" She raced forward, tearing through the flowers. Her dark purple cape hovered behind her. * * * * Hoshi pulled back the covers to his bed. Glancing at the small clock on the dresser, he jumped in and pulled the covers up to his neck. Making sure not to knock the pendant on the floor, he made a small dent in the corner of his pillow and settled the pendant there. The clock switched to 3:00 am and the pendant started to rock in it's nestling place. Floating skyward, the pendant opened, releasing it's inhabitant. The seed twinkled brightly as it grew in size. Forming a human female shape, color returned showing it was Moshi. "Wow, I'm back!" Moshi said as she fell to the carpeted floor. Rubbing her behind she slowly stood up, glancing at her surroundings. "Whoa, this isn't my house...where am I?" A soft snore drew her attention behind her. Whipping around with her ponytail fluttering behind her, she spotted Hoshi in the bed. "Ah, I'm at Hoshi's," she said as she settled on the edge of the bed. Hoshi coughed and pulled the covers over his head. She giggled as she pulled the covers back and slipped into the bed. Wrapping her arms around him, she placed her head on his chest, hearing his heart beat. Hoshi snorted in his sleep and clamped an arm around her waist. She nearly squealed in shock. The locking hold of his arm kept her face to face with him, his soft breath blowing up her nose. She tried to squirm, but Hoshi had a firm grip on her. Hoshi, still within the grasps of a blissful dream, snuggled closer to his squirming victim, burying his nose in her strawberry scented hair. This scent brought back memories of Moshi. Sighing, he planted a kiss on her cheek and snuggled closer. He thought he was still dreaming, that is until he heard a small squawk of protest. Opening his eyes, he found himself staring into a pair of violet eyes. "Yaaa!" He screamed, backpedaling away from the pair of eyes. He jumped to his feet, nearly tripping over the covers that had wrapped themselves around his foot. Moshi looked up and noticed that Hoshi was wearing only his boxers. She had to admit, he had nice legs. Catching herself, she screamed, "HOSHI NO HENTAI!" She covered her eyes. Hoshi looked down and noticed that he was wearing only a pair of green boxers, bending down he grabbed the cover and held it against his body. "Moshi?!" Peering over the edge of her hands, Moshi nodded. "I'm back," she squeaked, a red blush burning its way across her face and neck. "Moshi!" he yelled, dropping the cover, forgetting about his boxers. He raced over to the bed and grabbed her in a tight embrace. * * * * "UNO!" Ami yelled as she slammed all her cards down onto the small table. Makoto groaned and covered her eyes. "Ami-chan, it's GIN not UNO!" Ami giggled at the expression on Makoto's face. "Gomen, GIN!" Usagi snorted and threw her cards in. "This is the last time I play Gin with Ami-chan, she can never get it right!" Minako nodded, glaring at her own nasty hand. "What's bad is, she always wins!" Rei looked up from her manga she was reading. "That's why I quit the first hand. Secretly, I think Ami cheats." She glared at Ami accusingly. A red blush crept across Ami's face. "Why would I cheat?!" Usagi raised one blond eyebrow. "Yeah, remember when we first learned this game, she won the first time!" "Who taught you to play Gin?" Rei asked. "Mo-chan--" Makoto said, her voice trailing off. It had been a little over four days since Haruka put the blade through Moshi's heart. "You think she'll return?" Minako asked. Everyone had that question on their minds, they just didn't have the heart to ask it. Rei sighed and put her book to the side. "I don't know, Minako-chan." Makoto ran a hand past her eyes as she grabbed the remote control. Instead of Rei's house they were at Makoto's apartment that day. The piercing ringing of Makoto's phone cut into everyone's thoughts. Minako bounded from her seat and answered it. "Moshi Moshi, Kino residence," she said, twirling her finger in her hair. "Hai, hold please." She gave the cordless piece to Makoto. "Phone for you." Makoto raised an eyebrow, who would be calling her? "Moshi Moshi, Makoto speaking." Usagi and the rest looked on, wondering who was calling. Minako nudged Ami in the side and whispered, "It was a guy, he sounded cute!" "Way to go, Mako-chan!" Rei hooted, sitting down on the couch next to Makoto. Makoto swatted at Rei. "Hoshi-san? oh how's it going?! No, we're just sitting at my apartment...watching TV and playing cards, although I suspect Ami-chan's cheating." Ami's face turned deep red. "You want to come over?" She raised her eyebrows. "Oh you had questions that you wanted to ask Usagi about the star seed. Sure, sure. Ja ne." She closed the mouthpiece and handed the phone to Minako. "Why'd Hoshi-san call you?!" Usagi asked. "He wanted to ask you about the star seed," Makoto answered. Minako looked at her watch. "Well he don't live that far away, it shouldn't take him more th--" The doorbell rung, cutting off her last words. Stretching, Makoto slipped her feet into her slippers and padded over to the front door. She opened the door and nearly fainted with shock. Standing with Hoshi was Moshi with a big grin on her face. "Mako-chan!" Moshi said beaming. She opened her arms as if asking for a hug. "Mo-chan," Makoto whispered, nearly flinging herself against Moshi. Bracing herself, Moshi let Makoto fall against her. Usagi's face appeared at the door. "MOSHI!!!!" she screamed, bouncing out the door and pouncing on the hugging pair. Soon the rest appeared, screaming and bouncing and pouncing and hugging. Moshi laughed, these group hugs always made her feel funny. Once the group had finally calmed down and everyone was inside Makoto's apartment, the questions began to fly like gunfire. It took Moshi at least fifteen minutes to get them settled as she started on describing her adventure into herself. "So you finally found out who you are!" Makoto exclaimed, grabbing her in a quick hug. Moshi nodded. "Hai, it's about time I did and I owe it all to Usagi-chan!" Usagi blinked. "Me? What did I do!?" "When I was in my mind, there was billboards of all my friends. The one of you stood out and I thought, 'What would Usagi do?' The answer came to me, you would try to heal someone than destroy. I then thought about that time we were talking about Galaxia. There's a time to destroy and there's a time to create." Usagi blushed. "Wow, I actually had influence on someone." Rei giggled, hitting Usagi with a seat cushion. "Alright Usagi, I can see your head expanding!" Usagi grabbed her head and yelled. "Itai, itai, Rei-chan!" She snatched the pillow and knocked Rei upside her head, flinging her from the couch. Before a battle could become full fledge, Moshi put her hands up. "Has anyone seen Ru-chan lately"? Usagi nodded. "I was with him yesterday, he's still a bit down about...well..you know," she said as she lowered her eyes to her fingers. Moshi stood up to leave. "I better get going, I should tell him I'm back." Usagi put her hand up. "No need, give me a second, he'll be here in no time flat." She jumped from her seat on the couch and went to the phone. A few seconds later she came back grinning. "He should be here in 10 minutes." Ami looked at Usagi. "What did you say?" Usagi shrugged delicately. "Oh...nothing really. I just told him I needed him." A sudden knock at the door caught everyone's attention. "That _can't_ be him!" Minako said, gawking at Usagi. "I say it is him," Usagi replied grinning. She walked over to the door and opened. Mamoru rushed in with fear etched across his face. "Usako, daijoubu!?" he babbled, glancing at her from head to toe as if to check for injuries. "Mamo-chan, daijoubu. There's something you need to see though." She reached up and grabbed his face, turning it in Moshi's direction. Mamoru's blue eyes widened as elation at seeing his sister ran through him in ripples. "Midget!!!" Moshi jumped to her feet and squealed, "Ru-chan!!" Brother and sister rushed forward to grab each other in a hug. For a brief second, the circle with the cross on Mamoru's forehead shimmered and the infinity sign on Moshi's shimmered as they embraced. Usagi sighed and clasped her hands under her chin.
