"Konnichi wa, minna. Watashi no namae wa, Takanera Moshi! Pardon me for introducing myself all over again, but I felt it was time to update you all on how my life has been. I still attend Juuban high school with my best friends. We're now all in second year class three. It's nice to finally be in class all day with minna. Classes are starting to get harder, but I can handle them. It's Usagi-chan that I'm worried about, she seems to still refuse to write in kanji. I can't complain, I hate writing in kanji also. (Mainly because I don't know many, but I have a dictionary!) Lately things at school have been hectic. The tenth district sports festival is starting next week. This is the time they start picking first and second year students to train for the varsity teams. Sad thing is, I don't have a sport that I can do! I'm not as athletic as Minako-chan or Mako-chan. Usagi has a better chance at finding a sport than me!" * * * * After the 3:15 bell, Moshi quietly exited the rear of the class room and ran to her locker where she threw her purple tennis shoes on. She was hoping to beat her friends. She just couldn't take them asking more questions. She looked down the hall as she tied her left shoe. Good, no one was coming. "Mo-chan, matte!!!" Minako said, skidding to a stop in her soft soled white school shoes. "I was just putting on my shoes," Moshi said. She cursed at herself mentally. This should teach her to wear slip on shoes like the rest. Ami appeared at Minako's side. "So, have you decided on what you're going to do?" In her hand she held a flyer for the school's swim team. Moshi paled. She couldn't swim to save her life! "Ahh...uhh... That is... No." "You should play volleyball. We could use taller players," Minako said, winking. Moshi sighed. This was getting awful. Everyday she felt that they were trying to recruit her for a major league team. She tried her best to politely put them off by saying that she wasn't interested or that really wasn't her thing. It was starting to get downright annoying. "That's not really my thing, Minako-chan. Gomen." She turned only to run into Makoto. "Ah, Mo-chan..." Makoto started. "Iie...no more sports!" Moshi nearly screamed. She felt crowded in. She knew Makoto was going to ask her to join the ice skating group. She still had vivid memories of the cosmic whip. Memories so vivid, that she shuddered whenever she passed a bush. "You guys are jumping her again?" a new voice asked. Moshi whirled around and spotted Michiru and Haruka. Moshi groaned inwardly. Great, now they were going to push running and swimming on her. "Haruka-san, Michiru-san!" "Come on, I'll take you home," Haruka said, grabbing Moshi by her arm. Moshi knew then that she couldn't exactly say no. "Ja ne, minn--urk!" Moshi yelped as Haruka dragged her. * * * * Moshi was surprised to see Setsuna driving Haruka's bananna yellow sports car. When Setsuna spotted her, she smiled and waved slightly. "Hello, Setsuna-san," Moshi said. "Hello, Moshi-chan. Climb in." Setsuna stood up and pulled her seat back. Moshi clambered into the back seat and settled down. Haruka and Michiru walked to the other side of the car. Haruka climbed in back with her and Michiru took the front seat. Moshi started to tremble. What did the Outers want with her? "So...uh... where's Hotaru-chan?" Setsuna looked at her through the rearview mirror and smiled. "She's visiting her father." Harkua crossed her long legs and threw an arm around Moshi's shoulders, causing her to emit a small squeak. "Calm down, Moshi. I don't bite." She then lowered her voice in pitch and whispered in Moshi's ear. "Unless Hoshi-san doesn't mind." Moshi's cheeks turned bright red as she pushed Haruka away. She fidgited with her school bag as she tried to find her words. "Moshi's going to drop dead of heart failure some day," Michiru laughed. Setsuna started the car up and pulled into traffic. Once they got off the freeway ramp, the wind was blowing and causing everyone's hair to fly backwards. Moshi had to tie her bow tighter because her hair was threatening to come loose. "I know you're wondering why we asked you to come with us," Michiru said, turning around in her seat. "Asked? Hijacked is the more correct term." Moshi glared at Haruka, who started to laugh. "We had to make sure we caught you," Setsuna replied. "All you had to do was ask!" Moshi folded her arms and turned her nose in the air, pulling off her Rei impersonation. The car suddenly stopped and Moshi looked to see where they were. "Minako's old school!?" "Hai, there's someone I want you to meet." Haruka grabbed her arm again and nearly hauled her long frame from the car. "Urk!" Moshi rubbed her shoulder. First Usagi pulled her arm all the time and now Haruka was doing it. Did she have a tattoo that said 'Pull' on her arm!? "She's a runner for Minato high school," Michiru said, straightening her Juuban skirt. Moshi's violet eyes grew large. "ARRRGH!" she screamed and dropped her bookbag on Haruka's foot. "Itai!" Haruka hopped away. Michiru covered her mouth and started giggling. "Not you too! I'm so sick of everyone forcing sports on me!" Moshi growled. "Haruka!" a voice called. Moshi looked up and spotted a tall brown skinned girl running over towards them. "Ah, Elsa! I wanted you to meet a friend of mine. Moshi, kore wa Gray Elsa. Elsa, are wa Takanera Moshi." Elsa smiled. "Hajimemashite, Takanera-san." Moshi stiffly bowed and replied, "Hajimemashite, Gray-san." She threw Haruka a look that spoke of menace and revenge in volumes. "Is this the one you said that could be a runner?" Elsa asked, eyeballing Moshi from head to toe. Moshi felt like she was a cattle being put on display. Haruka nodded and pushed a wisp of blonde hair away. "Hai, I think she has what it takes. Of course she could never beat me though." Moshi twisted her bookbag handle in her hands. 'Just rub it in, Haruka...' Elsa came and stood next to Moshi. Moshi looked up at the girl and wondered what she was doing. Her question was quickly answered when she felt Elsa pinch her hip. She jumped away with her hand on her hip and stared at Elsa with large eyes. "What the hell was that for?!" Elsa nodded. "She does have nice rounded hips. Albeit they are a bit narrow." Haruka smirked. "She's built a bit like me. Which means, if it comes down to it, she could beat you." Moshi was still standing with her hand on her hip, gawking at Elsa. "Well, she's certainly muscular. I think she could go for track and field." Moshi watched in stunned silence as the four started to talk about her as if she wasn't even there! For every second that passed, Moshi could feel herself getting closer and closer to snapping. Finally fed up, she threw her bookbag down on the ground. "Moshi moshi!" Moshi yelled. "I do not appreciate being valued like a piece of beef! Setsuna-san, can you please take me home? Ru-chan is expecting me." Michiru and Haruka looked at her as if she cursed. Setsuna only nodded. "I'll take her home and come back here. "Arigato!" Moshi snapped, bending over and snatching her bag from the ground and stalking off. "Well, she certainly has your anger," Elsa said with a grin. * * * * "Moshi-chan, gomen if you felt that way," Setsuna said after a long silence. Moshi looked at Setsuna. "I'm sorry if I snapped, but this whole sports fever is driving me nuts! Minna keeps trying to recruit me for their own sports. They won't let me choose my own! I swear, they have the tenacity of crack dealers!" Setsuna quirked one dark green eyebrow. "Have you told them that?" Moshi's face turned red. "No, they looked so excited in telling me..." A funny expression crossed Setsuna's face. Moshi didn't like the feeling it gave her. "Why not try a new hobby instead of a sport...like helicopter lessons." "Not you too, Setsuna-san!" Moshi wailed. * * * * Moshi dragged her tired frame up the stairs and let herself in Mamoru's apartment. "Ru-chan, tadaima!" she called, kicking her sneakers off and dropping her bag in the corner. Mamoru's head peeked around the corner from the kitchen. "Okaeri nasai, Midget. Hoshi-kun called." Moshi grinned. She had planned on calling him and going for solace later. Wriggling her eyebrows, she tiptoed over towards the phone. "Don't even think of using that phone until you've done your homework!" Mamoru yelled. Moshi growled. How did he know these things! "Fine! I have physics homework and I need some help." Mamoru walked in with a platter ladened with sandwiches and juice. "I'll help. Don't you have that English test coming up?" Moshi pulled her books from her bag. "Hai...Iie, yes, I do have my English test next week," she said in English. "This one is going to be an oral examination." "How about we do the physics in English...sort of as a refresher?" Mamoru asked. He knew Moshi didn't have much trouble in English. He remembered the last time he went to Edwards' party for International students. Moshi had a field day speaking in English to the other students. She didn't get much of a chance to speak English. Hoshi didn't know much English. Either that or he hated to speak it. Usagi was definitely one for not speaking English. "I have a few things to finish up and then we'll get started. You can go get changed. You look real uncomfortable in that uniform." He grinned and walked back to the kitchen. "More than you'll ever know," Moshi whispered as she went to her room to change from her school uniform. * * * * Titanium ran for her life. For days, Nova was searching for her since she found out that she'd lived from their last encounter. Titanium was trying to find Moshi and the other senshi, but she didn't want to lead Nova right to them. Everywhere she went, Nova was there waiting with a grin on her face. What could she possibly want was a total mystery to Titanium. She wasn't going to stand and wait to find out. It had been three days since the chase began. Nova had said she didn't want to hurt her, but she wasn't willing to believe that as far as she could drop kick Nova. Just as Titanium thought she was safe, Nova cornered her. Like a trapped animal, Titanium transformed and prepared to fight. If it was to be a fight to the death, she was ready to try her best. "Why have you been running from me?" Nova asked, a fake inflection of hurt laced through her words. Titanium looked at Nova as if she was insane. "Let's see, you tried to kill me the last time we met. I'm not one for waiting and finding out what happens next." Nova covered her mouth daintily and chuckled. "I just had a little gift for you." She opened her hand and revealed a pair of silver bracers with multicolored jewels. When Titanium saw them, she gasped and pressed closer to the wall. "No...not those!" Titanium wailed. "Oh yes, these." Nova cackled and brought her bracer covered wrists up. She shot a blast of silver light from them and snatched Titanium's gray star seed. Titanium screamed as her star seed was ripped from her soul. Her steely eyes glazed over as Nova snapped the bracers on her wrist. Now under Nova's total control, she genuflected and waited for her first command. "Now, my senshi. I command you go and get me another star seed!" Nova folded her arms and grinned to herself. She could feel the power from Titanium's star seed making her stronger already. Titanium stood up, fists clinched at her sides. "Hai, Nova-sama!" * * * * Haruka weaved slightly as she climbed into the driver's side of her car. Michiru just did catch her before she crashed into the steering wheel. "Haruka?" Michiru asked softly. "The wind is restless...something is happening..." Haruka muttered, snapping her seat belt into place. Michiru closed her own eyes for a second. "I can sense that the seas are shifting. You're right, something is happening. From the back seat Setsuna quietly nodded, her own instincts were telling her that something was amiss. "We should keep an eye on odango for a bit," Haruka said as she pulled off. * * * * For the almost ninth time that day, Usagi answered the Tsukino's phone. "Moshi moshi! Tsukino residence." Makoto's voice came over the receiver. "Moshi moshi, Usagi-chan. Kore wa Makoto. Have you seen Mo-chan?" Usagi looked at the phone. First Minako had called, then Ami and then Rei. "Iie and you're the fourth person to ask me that!" Makoto tittered nervously. "Oh really? Well, sorry to have bothered you! Ja ne!" She quickly hung up before Usagi could ask anymore questions. Usagi shook her head. What was with them lately? She was willing to bet it had something to do with the sports festival that was next week. Usagi turned the television off and grabbed her bookbag and headed upstairs to her room. Before she entered, she could hear Luna talking to someone. At first she thought it was Artemis there, but she quickly dismissed that when she heard another female voice. She threw her door open and chucked her bookbag into the room. "ITAI!" the girl screamed. Usagi ducked when the bookbag came flying back and took Shingo out, who was passing by to go to his room. "Usagi!" he growled, pushing the bookbag back into Usagi's hands. She grabbed her Eternal compact and slowly walked into the room. Sitting on her bed next to Luna with her head in her hands, was Moshi. "Mo-chan? Do you know the entire world is looking for you?!" Usagi said, relieved that she wouldn't have to transform. Moshi continued to rub her head where the bookbag made contact. "Hi, Usagi-chan." Luna threw Usagi a poisoned glance. "Moshi was here talking with me until you busted the door open and played suburban commando!" Usagi's face turned red. "Gomen nasai, Mo-chan!" She sat down on the bed. "Why are you hiding here?" "Minna's driving me nuts about this sports festival!" She then told her about how Haruka abducted her. Usagi started laughing loudly. "They actually took you to Minako's old school?!" She fell backwards on the bed and laughed again. Moshi glared at her until she finally sobered and sat up. "I don't want to get involved in any sports! Being a senshi is keeping me fit as it is!" Moshi grumbled. The one thing her and Usagi had in common was distaste for anything strenuous. The two talked for a few hours. After a entire cheesecake and pot of tea later, they took off for Mamoru's apartment. Usagi decided to walk Moshi home and see Mamoru in the process. On the way, the two stopped at Crown Arcade where they found Minako playing Formula-1 racing. Moshi tried to turn and escape, but Usagi had a firm grip on her wrist and dragged her along. "Minako-chan!" Usagi called, sitting at the game next to Minako. Keeping her eyes on the screen, Minako responded. "Hey, Usagi-chan." Moshi quietly settled at the game on Minako's right. "Minako, Moshi was at my place and I was wondering why everyone was chasing her." She put a few yen in the game and joined the race. "I was trying to get her to join the v-ball team." She was clearly oblivious to Moshi sitting next to her. "She doesn't want to play v-ball." Usagi pressed her foot harder on the accelerator. Minako blinked. "Why couldn't she just tell me that?!" "Maybe because she didn't want to hurt your feelings?" Usagi asked. Minako sighed as she crossed the finishing line. "I didn't know she felt that way. Fine, I'll stop bothering her about v-ball." Moshi smiled at Usagi, who winked in return. "Thanks a lot, Minako-chan!" Moshi said grinning. Minako screeched and whipped her head to the right. "You've been sitting here all this time!? You devil!" Moshi shrugged with a grin on her face. "Guilty." * * * * Titanium leapt from on roof to the next, in search of a star seed for Nova. With each nimble movement, her gray armor clanged. She could feel a strong power somewhere near. She looked down across the street, inside she could see three girls playing a video game. "Ah, three seeds ripe for the picking." Titanium couched and hid behind the billboard, waiting until the three left the arcade. * * * * "We were going back to my place, want to come?" Moshi asked Minako after crashing and burning at F-1 racing. Minako glanced at the small wristwatch she wore on her left wrist. "I guess I could. I have nothing else to do today." Usagi glared at Minako. "Then I must be the only one doing the physics homework." "Uh..well..that is.." Minako stammered. "Ru-chan's going to help me later...maybe you both should come over," Moshi recommended. Usagi looked at Moshi. She sounded a lot like Ami for the moment. She hated when Moshi went into Ami-mode. She knew she could never talk her out of anything then. "We'll have to go back for my bookbag then!" "I should run and get mine too. I'll walk with you and then go to my place and I'll meet you back here!" Minako stated, getting up from behind the video game. "Ikuyo!" Moshi said, grabbing a fussing Usagi's hand and dragging her behind her. For once she was the dragger and not the dragee. The three exited the Arcade and headed back towards Usagi's house. Minako walked with them for a few blocks and then took a left turn towards her place. Moshi and Usagi waved and continued towards her place. They didn't see the dark gray figure stalking them from various rooftops. When they were about three blocks away, Moshi spotted Luna sitting on top of a fence. "Ah, Luna!" she called out, waving her hand and running forward. Luna jumped from her position on the fence and landed in Moshi's arms. "Something's wrong, you two have to be careful!" Usagi cocked her head to one side. "Nan des ka, Luna?" "This is what's wrong. Metal no Senshi, Sailor Titanium!" a voice yelled. The two girls whipped around, hair flying about their faces. "Titanium?!" Usagi asked, taking a step backwards. Moshi gasped when she saw the two bracers on her arms. "She's being controlled! Luna get out of here!" Moshi screamed. She dropped Luna and grabbed for her henshin wand. Usagi was clearly baffled, she couldn't understand why Titanium was about to attack them. "Titanium, snap out of it!" "How about I snap you out of it!" she growled. She raised her hand and her Titan staff appeared. "Titanium Wall Push!" Moshi ran, screaming for Usagi when she leapt. Both girls tumbled across the asphalt and landing in the middle of the street. "Usagi-chan, henshinyo!" Moshi threw her wand up and yelled, "Earth Infinite Power...Make up!" The large infinity sign on the stick glowed and surrounded her, changing her clothing into the fuku of SuperSailor Earth. The clasp on the Eternal brooch opened and Usagi passed her hand by it, activating the crystal within. "Moon Eternal...Make up!" Bright feathers surrounded her, morphing her clothing into the fuku of EternalSailor Moon. "You were wrong to attack us. Even though you are a friend, we will not hesitate in defending ourselves!" EternalSailor Moon yelled. Her large wings rustled with each movement. "Ai to seigi no!" she balled her hands into fists and stood next to the taller senshi, Sailor Earth. "Seera fu, bishoujo senshi!" Earth placed her hands on her narrow hips and turned her head slightly to the side. "Seera Muun!" She did her traditional pose of her arms crossed. "To, SupaSeeraAasu!" Earth mimicked the action. "Tsuki ni, kawatte. Oshiokyo!" both yelled in unison. Titanium seemed to pause for a complete second, as if she was thinking things over. The hand holding the staff wavered for a minute, drooping to the ground. She grabbed her head with her other hand and winced loudly. "We've got to help her!" Sailor Moon said, trying to take a step forward, but was held back by Sailor Earth. "Iie, she's not who she is." An infinite boomerang appeared and she grabbed it, prepared to defend herself. "Give me your star seeds!!!" Titanium wailed, releasing another wave of attacks. "Watch out!" Moon yelled, ducking to one side. Earth growled and ran to the side. She came upon a fire hydrant and propelled herself from it. "Infinite..." She spun in a complete circle while in the air. "Boomerang!!!" She hurled the boomerang at Titanium. Titanium giggled as the boomerang clashed with her armor and fell to the ground, useless. "Dame!" Earth gasped, that was one of her most powerful attacks, and she bounced it back as if it was just her Life Force attack. Feeling desperate she went with her Super attack. She threw her hand out and an infinite sign appeared in her palm. It was quickly surrounded by purple energy as she started her attack. "Earth..." She started to spin in a circle. "Splash..." A dome of purple energy with golden sparks surrounded her and Sailor Moon. She suddenly stopped spinning and pointed at Titanium. "Fount!!" The one hundred splashes of energy slammed into Titanium, slamming her backwards into the ground. Her staff flew from her hand as she tried to keep herself from being pushed away by the barrage assault of energy. It was no good. Her metal fuku was acting like a complete conduit for the energy. "Yatta!" Moon cried, giving Earth a hug. Earth kept her eyes trained on Titanium. When she started to move again, she spoke. "Not yet..." "Dammit! I want your star seeds!" She was starting to sound like a broken record. "Titanium Steel Ground!" Energy coursed through the ground, zapping both senshi. Earth was trying to soak some of the energy, but it was too much, too fast. Moon was instantly knocked to the ground, screaming in pain. "Now...I want your star seeds," Titanium chuckled, slowly stalking towards her prey. A red rose implanted itself in the ground, causing the metal senshi to stop and turn around. "Dare!?" A lone figure appeared on top of the fence, encased in a black cape and top hat. "Two beautiful girls were on their way home to study, only to be accosted by an evil creature like you. I, Takishido Kamen. Yurusenai!" The two battered senshi crawled to their feet. "Takishido Kamen-sama!" Tuxedo Kamen wielded his cane. "Combine your powers, while I hold her off!" He leapt from the fence and brought his cane down on Titanium's staff. The two began dueling, throwing various kicks and punches at one another. Moon looked confused for a second. "Can we combine our powers?" Earth shrugged. "If I can do it with the others, surely you're no different. She closed her eyes and concentrated deeply. "Say the first thing that comes to mind." The eternal tier appeared in her hands of it's own volition. Moon reared back in semi-shock. The tier was supposed to only appear when she called for it. She could feel a thought started to penetrate into her mind. She felt the sudden rush of purple and golden energy fill her entire being. The words, bright and gold, popped out into her mind. She held the tier out, the staff grew longer until it touched the ground. "Silver Earth, Meditation Attack!!!" A large arc of white light appeared before the tier's crystal and continued to grow until it was the size of a basketball. Tuxedo Kamen waited until the last second before dodging away. The light was so bright; he had to shield his eyes with one hand. Titanium screeched as the bright light careened towards her. Suddenly, she vanished, leaving not a trace behind. Both, Earth and Moon, collapsed to the ground. Their energy completely sapped by the powerful attack they created together. "I haven't felt that much energy since the holy grail..." Moon gasped, holding her sides. Earth shook her head. "That was too dangerous. We can't use it too often." Tuxedo Kamen appeared at Moon's side. "Usako, daijoubu?" Moon leaned against Kamen and sighed. "Daijoubu." Earth stood up, hands on her hips. "And chop liver over here is doing fine also!" She wanted to giggle when she saw a small blush break out on Kamen's face. Kamen quickly recountered. "Aren't we suppose to be studying for a certain test?" Earth facefaulted. "I was bringing Usagi with me, but we had to get her bookbag!" She quickly changed back, and started to tap her sneaker clad foot on the asphalt. Moon, who also transformed back, giggled and sat up. "I guess we'd better get a move on. Minako's waiting at the arcade for us!" "Oh no!" Moshi cried. "Oh yes, we better move it!" Usagi yelled. * * * * Today was the big day of picking for sports teams. Moshi had managed to keep herself hidden ever since the day that Titanium attacked her and Usagi. Ami was trying to get a few answers from her in class, but Moshi had managed to double-talk her way out of it. At lunch, the four had met at Ami's desk on the left side of the room and tried to figure out what Moshi had in mind. Usagi unwrapped her bento and started chugging away at it. "So, what do you think she's going to do?" Makoto delicately picked up one of her famous rice balls. "Well, I think she's going to go for track and field. She can already throw a boomerang!" Minako snorted as she unwrapped her own bento. "I still think she's going for volleyball!" Ami shook her head. "Gomen nasai, Minako-chan. She may pick swimming." The four started placing bets on which sport she was going to pick. They didn't even see Moshi come and sit next to Ami and start to open her bento. She now carried bento boxes instead of bento in paper bags. This kept Minako aware, she didn't want to be bopped by a bento box! "Minna?" Moshi asked, removing the purple and yellow bento wrapper. She picked up the small chopsticks and started to eat her rice. The four quickly stopped talking, some nearly choking on their food. "Hai?" Makoto asked, finally clearing that chunk of rice that got stuck in her throat. "I've just signed up for a sport," she said, quietly chewing on a piece of squid that Makoto had made. "Well?!" the four cried, eyes bulging with anticipation. Moshi grinned and held up the flyer. "I signed up for track and field!" Makoto glared at Ami and stuck out her tongue. "I told you! HAH!" Moshi looked at her best friend and laughed. "The coach said I had a nice throwing arm and he could use someone like me for hammer throw!" Makoto crowed again. "Told you, two times!" Ami just looked at her while Usagi and Minako quietly seethed. Moshi grinned an even more demonic grin as she spoke to Usagi. "Usagi-chan, the coach wants you for track...so I signed you up also!" Usagi's face fell hard. "Na.....ni!!!!!" she wailed. Pulling her lower eyelid down and sticking her tongue out, Moshi replied, "We start practice this afternoon. I hope your gym suit is clean!" Usagi grabbed her bento and proceeded to whack Moshi upside the head. Oshimai, da yo! Next Arc: Beautiful
