Chapter 2: The First Battle

 Legal Stuff: All Sailor Moon type characters (minus Sailor Earth) is
based on the series Sailor Moon, Copyright by Takeuchi Naoko (Did I
mention she rocks?).  This is the first battle of Sailor Earth along with
the Sailor Senshi, please do not hesitate to email me with comments,

     Takanera Moshi slowly made her way up the steps of the Hikawa Jinja.
She paused to look around, totally in awe of the temple surroundings.
The place looked as if it was swept every hour every day.  Taking a deep
breath she tried to adjust her pink jacket, skirt, and then her pink
tie. She clumsily dropped her handbag as she nervously glanced around. 
Out of the corner of her eye a blond blur approached her babbling.

     "Konnichi wa! Mo-chan! I couldn't wait for you to come back! That is
such a kawaii fuku you're wearing.  What kind of school do you go to? I
bet it's better than Juuban! Ahh we must go shopping sometime! I love your
hair, it's like mine! That is one beautiful necklace!.."

     Moshi could only pick out a few words, like 'shopping,' and 'hair.'
Usagi was going way too fast for her to understand. "Slow down Usagi-san I
can't understand you!!"

     A slow grin crept across Usagi's youthful face. "Usagi-san? Why are
you calling me that? call me Usagi-chan!!!" she draped one arm over
Moshi's shoulders and led her inside the temple to Rei's room where the
rest of the senshi were waiting.  Once inside a second blond blur attacked
Moshi. Minako rushed over looking at her fuku, claming it was better than
the one she had to wear everyday, and how she would trade her favorite red
ribbon to wear Moshi's fuku for a day.  Soon all the senshi started
talking, asking questions, and touching her hair.  It got so overwhelming
that Moshi screamed for them to quiet.

     "Now that's better," Moshi said. "I can only answer one question at a
time!!" she huffed, these girls seemed to be too much for her to handle.
She slowly turned to Usagi and said, "OK Usagi-san you first!"

     Usagi grinned and jumped up. "OK, 1. Why are you calling me
Usagi-san? 2. How long have you been wearing your hair like that? 3. What
do you use to henshin with? 4. What school do you go to? 5. any
boyfriends? 6. um..er...I think thats it." 

     "Well 1. it's a sign of respect, but if you prefer chan I will call
you Usagi-chan. 2. As long as I could remember 3. I use this necklace, my
henshin necklace 4. I go to Yakomoto Jr. High on the other side of town, I
might be transfering to Juuban soon. 5. um none." Upon answering the last
question she blushed, causing the others to laugh.

     Ami jumped up next, her short blue hair flew about her face as she
talked. "I only have one question, are you serious about your studies?"
Usagi groaned knowing that question would have came out sooner than she
thought, thanks to Ami-chan and her one track mind.

     "Hai, Ami-san..er chan, I want to study biology and become a
biologist," Moshi dreamily answered, her violet eyes becoming glittery.

     "Ok, do you know any kind of fighting skills?" Makoto asked with hope
that she found a new sparring partner, Rei sometimes got out of hand with
those papers. Moshi smiled and walked over to the window where Rei kept
some small plants.  She looked at the plants the beautiful, healthly green
leaves stretched out towards the sunlight.  She saw that one small one,
was turning brown and withered looking.  Sighing to herself, she reached
out and touched it.  The small plant suddenly turned green and bloomed a
beautiful red flower, it was a rose.  The girls gasped, they've never seen
anyone do that with a flower before.

    Makoto jumped up from her seat and walked over to Moshi. "Moshi, how
did you do that?" She glanced from Moshi to the flower, her jaw drooping
in shock.

     Moshi stammered, unsure of what to answer. "Well, It's part of my
power.  You see I have the powers of Life and it's energies.  I only gave
the flower a bit of my own life force to make it live longer," she turned
back to the flower, her eyes glazing over, almost dream like.

     Makoto was simply boggled with confusion.

     Moshi blinked and looked at Makoto, as if suddenly remembering what
she was going to say. "Um..I know a bit, something I picked up here and
there," she answered nervously, not enjoying the look Makoto had on her
face. Rei was about to ask her a question about what she just did, when
Luna burst into the room.

     Luna's ears twitched furiously as she yelled, "There's some trouble
downtown, you must henshin yo and get there NOW. Chibiusa is somewhere in
the area!!!

     Ami jumped up and threw her hand into the air. "Mercury Star Power!!
Make up!!" Blue light surrounded Ami as she became Sailor Mercury.

     Quickly following suit, Rei called out, "Mars Star Power!! Make 
up!!" Flames surrounded the shinto maiden, her dark hair flowed about
her shoulders as her fuku was formed, turning her into Sailor Mars.

     Makoto winked at Moshi and then said, "Jupiter Star Power!! Make
appu!!" Lightning crackled and thunder roared as Makoto became the senshi,
Sailor Jupiter.

     Minako grabbed her henshin pen and poked Usagi. "Venus Star Power!!
Make up!!" A yellow light filled the room as Minako became Sailor Venus.

     The front clasp on Usagi's brooch opened, revealing the stone
inside.  Clinking her finger against the stone, causing it to make a
tingling sound, she said, "Moon Cosmic Power!! Make up!!!"

     After witnessing each senshi's henshin in shock, Moshi pulled her 
necklace from under her tie and called out, "Earth Planet Power!! Make
up!!!"  The senshi watched on while Moshi transformed.  Her small body
becamed consumed by tiny infinity symbols that emerged from her necklace.
Her necklace glittered brightly in a warm tan color and then vanished as
her tiara appeared.  The tan stone winked, finalizing her transformation.
She opened her eyes noticing them watching.  "Well what are we waiting
for, Chibiusa might be in danger!!" she raced outside, bounding down the
stairs in two leaps.  The rest of the senshi followed Sailor Earth as she
took to the roofs, leaping with the grace of a cat. When they approached
downtown, Mercury turned on her visor, searching for Chibiusa.

     "See anything Mecury?" Sailor Venus asked, her golden orange
skirt, fluttering slightly in the breeze. Behind her Sailor Jupiter
started pacing, arms folded behind her back, her eyes taking a hard edge.

     "No I don't see her, we may have to get a bit closer," Mercury
responded, typing quickly on her computer.  A gasp brought her attention
back to what was going on.

     "What is that!!" Sailor Moon gawked as she walked to the edge of the
roof and pointed down at the street. A large figure was quickly moving
through the town, draining people of their energy.  The creature looked
like a giant bug of some sort.  Any person touched by it's feelers,
quickly fell to ground, devoid of their energy.

     A sense of Deja vu washed over Sailor Earth.  She thought she
had dealed with this creature before.  She didn't know that he would 
return again, this time to finish what he started.  "No, not you again!"
Sailor Earth whispered harshly and leaped down to the ground where the
creature was approaching.  Jupiter quickly followed in case Earth might
have needed help.

     "I thought I got rid of you a long time ago, Glutius!" she yelled,
deftly ducking one of the creature's deadly feelers. 

     "Obviously not, since I am still here," he cackled in return, trying
to hit Sailor Earth with one of his blasts. He had his back to the
building where the rest of the senshi were standing.

     Taking a chance, Mercury attacked. "Shine Aqua...Illusion!!!!!"
Mercury's Illusion had no affect on the creature.  He continued his
rampage through the town, draining energy.  
     
     "We must team up!!" Jupiter yelled to Venus who nodded in response.

     Gritting her teeth, the wand of her tiara emerged, sending lighting 
coursing through her body.  "Supreme Thunder!!!!"  As she unfolded her
arms, arcs of lightning shot forwards to Glutius.
     
     Venus held her hand up.  As she pointed her finger two crescent moons
appeared.  The moons folded into light, merging with her finger. "Crescent
Beam!!!!" she pointed at Glutius, sending a small point of light.

     This also had no affect, he merely brushed it off as if it was a bit
of fluff.  Venus and Jupiter gawked at the creature, it seemed that nothing 
had affect on this monster. He calmly continued his rampage of building
smashing and energy stealing. Refusing to take anymore of this Sailor Moon
descended from the building and stood in front of the beast.

    "Stop right there! How dare you rampage through this town of innocent
people, what have they done to you!" she paused, posing.

     Glutius grunted, and replied, "Just who are you!?"

     Sailor Moon smiled and said, "I was waiting for that.  Ai to seigi
no, seera fuku bishoujo senshi!!!...Seera Muun!!! Tsukini Kawatte..Oshiokiyo!!"

     He snorted, and laughed, wrapping his feeler around Sailor Moon.  She
screamed as she felt her energy starting to leave her.  Sailor Mars rushed
over yelling, "Fire...Soul!!!"  With his attention turned to Sailor Moon
he wasn't ready for Mars' attack.  With a loud yelp he dropped Sailor
Moon. Sailor Earth saw then that if she didn't attack him now, he would be
unbeatable.

     "I got you now, Life Force...DRAIN!!!!" she yelled, aiming her attack
for his head. The beast wailed in pain as the purplish light engulfed him
slowly stealing the energy he once had.  Crumpling to the ground he gasped
for breath.  The light contracted, pulling him into a tight ball.

     A pale white mist started to waft from his body.  Sailor Earth closed
her eyes as she took his life force away.  She sighed as she could feel
her powers started to charge up once again. She turned to Sailor Moon and 
said, "Sailor Moon, Ima!"

     Sailor Moon gripped the Spiral Heart Moon Rod in her right hand
as she started to go through the motions of powering up her attack. "Moon
Spiral Heart Attack!!!" Her spiral attack created a large heart around
Glutius, encasing him within.  Suddenly the heart pushed past him,
crushing his body.  The wails turned into bloodcurling screams as
Glutius dissolved into nothing.

     Sailor Earth breathed a sigh of relief, but the next thing she heard
brought chills to her system.  His evil chuckle reached the senshi's ears
as he threatened, "You haven't seen the last of me, especially you Seera
Aasu!"

     Sailor Chibi Moon suddenly then appeared running for Usagi, crying.
Sailor Mars glanced at Sailor Earth, wondering about the new Senshi. She
turned to Sailor Mercury who silently nodded, obviously thinking the same
thing.  Each senshi transformed back and  quietly they left for home, with
a sobbing Chibiusa. Moshi quietly stood back, pondering what was happening
now.

*** Japanese Words used in Chapter Two ***

-san -- Honorific, used in formal situation, with people you really don't
know.  Or, could be used to show respect for someone.

Fuku -- Uniform, Sailor suit
Kawaii - Cute
Konnichi wa -- Good Afternoon, this is said between 10 am and 5pm
Henshin -- Transform/metamorphisis
Hikawa Jinja -- Fire river Shrine.  Rei's temple/house
Ai to seigi no, sailor fu bishoujo senshi, Seera Muun.  Tsukini Kawatte,
Oshiokyo! -- For love and justice, I am the lovely sailor suited warrior,
Sailor Moon.  In the name of the moon, I will punish you!
